Investors placed offers on Friday for Allied Irish Banks' majority stake in Bank Zachodni WBK, following recent changes to both the price and structure of the offer.
Those investors are state-owned PKO Bank Polski, Spanish lender Santander and French BNP Paribas. According to Parkiet’s sources, AIB, current owner of the zł.9.7 billion stake in BZ WBK, wants some zł.210-215 per share. However, shares in the bank were selling for zł.189.9 on Friday, while analysts recently surveyed by the newspaper expected prices to hover around zł.193.
Parkiet’s sources suggest BNP Paribas offered the highest price, while PKO offered the lowest.
