Restaurant chain Sfinks Polska recorded a consolidated net loss of zł.17.1 million in the first half, compared to zł.22 million a year earlier.

The company's revenues stood at zł.75.3 million in H1, compared to zł.90 million a year earlier.

Sfinks' board is declaring that it is working hard on the company's growth. "We are focusing on ensuring profitability and preparing the company for further expansion in 2011. We have finished introducing new franchisee agreements, which will pay off in the coming years," said Mariola Krawiec-Rzeszotek, Sfinks CEO.

She also added that the company's goal for this year is to rebuild its potential which weakened when it declared bankruptcy and lost over a dozen restaurants.

This year Sfinks is planning to open its first "express" locations.
