Another soldier killed
On August 6, an attack on Polish soldiers serving in Afghanistan left one dead and five wounded. According to early accounts, the soldiers were travelling in Ghazni Province when a roadside improvised explosive device was triggered. With the death of Lance Corporal Dariusz Tylenda, Poland has lost a total of 20 soldiers in Afghanistan. Around 2,500 Polish soldiers are currently present in the country.
