How much was spent on Polish presidential elections?
The presidential campaign by eventual winner Bronisław Komorowski cost his team zł.15 million in total. His rival Jarosław Kaczyński, meanwhile, spent one million złoty less, according to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
As the newspaper observed, even though Mr. Komorowski’s election effort spent the most total money, he “earned” his votes more cheaply than Mr. Kaczyński, spending only zł.1.67 per voter that chose him, as compared to the average of zł.1.83 per vote that Mr. Kaczyński’s campaign team spent.
