Bronisław Komorowski is now officially the Polish head of state. He was sworn in at a ceremony in the Polish Sejm attended by former presidents Lech Wałęsa and Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
Mr Komorowski took the oath of office after a minute's silence for the victims of the Smolensk plane crash, in which his predecessor, Lech Kaczyński, died along with 95 other people.
