The Economy Ministry said Poland would attract investments worth €10 billion this year. Despite earlier pessimistic prognoses, investments in Poland during the first five months of 2010 were worth more than €5 billion, compared to €2.8 billion in the same period a year earlier, reports Rzeczpospolita.

In addition, the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) said 29 new investment projects were completed in the first half of the year, three times more than in H1 2009. The investments were worth a total of €377 million and will create a total of 6,000 new jobs in Poland.

The Economy Ministry said FDI would mainly come from the US, the UK, Korea, India, China and Japan.
