The złoty gains in strength

The złoty is again on the mend, after a series of events that restored investor confidence in the currency.

The factors included the publication of retail sales data, which showed the sector is making a recovery, as well as good results from EU-mandated stress tests on European banks, including Poland's PKO BP.

On Monday, the Swiss franc fell to zł.2.95 and the American dollar to zł.3.11. Investors are excited to see the złoty gain in strength, as a stronger złoty means a lower cost of servicing foreign currency loans.
