WSE to buy energy trading platform?
Hundreds of thousands of mega watt hours are traded on the platform daily
WSE |
While it is known that the Warsaw Stock Exchange's council approved a statute for trading commodities, it is keeping this element of its business plan a secret. However, the WSE could be considering the purchase of the Internet Electricity Trading Platform, which belongs to Elbis, a PGE subsidiary, according to Parkiet.
The platform enables trading electrical energy, property rights (which come from certificates of the renewable energy's origin) and CO2 emission authorizations.
Recently, trade on the platform has reached hundreds of thousands of mega watt hours a day.
