Comarch bets on international markets

Poland's IT market is making a recovery, but it's a slow road to the top, according to Janusz Filipiak, president of Polish IT firm Comarch.

"Chasing after contracts in Poland is very labor-intensive," he says. "That's why we're focusing our attention abroad."

Mr Filipiak says the IT market won't rebound until Poland's GDP starts posting gains of three to four percent.

When GDP growth is lower than that, firms are wary to make investments, he says. Still, he says, Comarch is in talks with more clients than it was a year ago and says the company's revenues should increase year-on-year.

In 2009, the company made zł.729 million.
