Poland to offer zł.115 mln in grants to foreign investors
The government yesterday awarded Nokia Siemens Networks a grant of zł.4.6 million for the creation of new jobs in its Center for Software Development. This is the first government program of funding for foreign investors to be confirmed this year.
Poland had previously approved funding for Swiss pharmaceutical manufacturer Roche, but the firm later declined the offer.
There may soon be a decision on a zł.12 million grant for Goodrich, an American firm which produces undercarriages for US aircraft maker Boeing. These two grants will be followed by decisions on 15 more programs that are supposed to begin this year, for a total value of zł.115.5 million.
