The temporary home of one of Warsaw’s most forward-looking museums is hosting a broad exhibition of modern art. The show, entitled “Modernologies,” comes to the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw from its counterpart in Barcelona. It is a striking collection of works that explores the foundations of modernism and its impact on the contemporary art world and society.
“Modernologies” ties together the aesthetics and social policies of the early-to-mid-20th century with artistic endeavors, re-evaluating their long-lasting effects on society. Attention to form and function, as well as to the formation of hard-hitting promotional graphics and the development of the industrial world, are among the most characteristic symbols of modernism.
The exhibition features works from a respected roster of international artists that includes Dan Graham and Robin Hurst, Armando Andrade Tudela, Marion von Osten and Christopher Williams. It’s currently on show at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, ul. Pańska 3, through the beginning of April.
