A leading opposition MP has attacked Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski – a likely candidate for the presidential election.

"Our chief diplomat is not carrying out his duties and is concentrating on the primary election campaign of the PO [Civic Platform]," said Grażyna Gęsicka, the head of the Law and Justice (PiS) parliamentary club, in a letter to Bronisław Komorowski, Marshal of the Sejm and Mr Sikorski's rival as the PO's potential presidential candidate.

PiS wants Mr Sikorski to present the Sejm with his ideas on foreign policy and to explain to an extraordinary meeting of the foreign affairs committee, why he did not attend a recent meeting of EU foreign ministers in Cordoba, Spain.
