PGF earnings skyrocket
Polska Grupa Farmaceutycza (PGF) has posted a net profit of zł.65.5 million for 2009, which represents a 50 percent increase on the previous year. The firm also posted revenues of zł.5.4 billion, a jump of nearly six percent year-on-year.
PGF says much of its growth is attributable to the fact that the Polish pharmaceutical market almost doubled in size in 2009.
Last year PGF investors did not receive any dividend payouts because the company was burdened with a large debt, but the firm promises a cash payout for 2010.
