French actor Gerard Depardieu will be the new face of Bank BZ WBK following the success of a series of adverts with John Cleese and Danny DeVito.
The series of commercials promoting the bank's new bank account, to air in March and April, will feature the French movie star in various roles.
The promotional campaign, one of the largest in the bank's history, will also take place in the printed press, the internet and on posters.
According to the bank, Poles perceive commercials with stars, especially foreign ones, as the most engaging, distinctive and interesting.
“Commercials starring foreigners and containing Polish elements are judged especially well – that is why John Cleese found an aunt in Pcim and Danny DeVito learned Polish. We taught Gerard Depardieu some Polish as well, with [moderate] results,” said Jędrzej Marciniak, head of Brand Management and Investor Relations at BZ WBK.
The new bank account allows owners to withdraw cash from all cash machines in Poland without additional fees, charges no fees for operating the account if the monthly inflow is at least zl.1,000 and offers a monthly return of one percent of all purchases made with the account's debit card.
