Polish e-commerce is slowly growing
The value of the Polish e-commerce market last year was zł.13-13.2 billion, growing from zł.11 billion a year earlier, according to estimates from the Direct Marketing Association, which surveyed about 6,000 Polish internet stores.
Almost half of the total revenue came from Allegro, Poland's biggest auction service. Poles most often order books or multimedia items over the web – accounting for more than a third of all transactions.
The fastest growth last year was in the clothing and children's goods sectors.
