American "Patriot" missiles are due to arrive in Poland in April, as planned.
However, the Ministry of Defense has decided to relocate them from the vicinity of Warsaw to Morąg, a town 100 km away from the Kaliningrad Russian border.
Original plans stipulated that the missiles would be stationed in Wesoła, close to Warsaw, but according to experts from the Ministry, Morąg is a better location.
"No strategic issues were considered here. It is just that in Morąg, we were able to offer the best possible conditions for American soldiers and their technical equipment," said Bogdan Klich, Minister of Defense.
The missile battery is composed of four to eight launchers as well as PAC2 and PAC3 missiles, and it will take American specialists two months to set up the base.
