Somali pirates have seized a British chemical tanker, says the International Maritime Bureau.

The ship, named the St. James Park, was manned by 26 crew, including Bulgarians, Filipinos, Georgians, Indians, Romanians, Russians, Turks, Ukrainians, and one Pole.

The vessel was hijacked in the Gulf of Aden, the European Union Naval Force in Somalia reported on its web site.
