So far in Poland, three have died as a result of swine influenza, and almost 240 have been diagnosed with the A/N1H1 virus.

A man who contracted swine flu has died in a £ód¼ hospital on Monday morning, the Interior Health Ministry has said. The 48-year-old was initially admitted to hospital with pneumonia. When his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to an intensive care unit, where it was confirmed he had contracted A/H1N1. The patient eventually passed away at 2.30 am on Monday morning. (JJ)
