The Czech constitutional court has thrown out a legal challenge against the Lisbon Treaty, paving the way for President Vaclav Klaus to sign the treaty, despite the premier saying it would take away Czech sovereignty.

The Czech parliament has already approved the treaty, and Mr Klaus has indicated that he would sign it soon, completing the treaty's Europe-wide ratification. (JJ)
