Gambling affair commission meets some hurdles?

Representatives of the Polish People's Party (PSL) have supported the bill submitted by  Civic Platform (PO) last week concerning the establishment of a commission to investigate the gambling affair.

This bill, in contrast to those submitted by the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) and Law and Justice (PiS), does not foresee resolving the issue of who warned the politicians and the lobbyists of the wiretapping performed by the Central Anti Corruption Bureau (CBA).

With this move PSL surprised SLD, who were counting on support from the the party to reject PO's version of the bill.

"There was no political bargaining or any pressure from the PO," said a PSL politician.

According to unofficial information, PSL representatives did not analyze the bill well enough to see that it does not include resolving the issue of who warned about the CBA raid.
