President Kaczyński to ratify Lisbon Treaty on Wednesday?

Polish President. Lech Kaczyński, will ratify the Lisbon Treaty after he returns from an official visit to Romania on Wednesday, according to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

The president had earlier announced that he would put his signature on the European agreement following a positive Irish referendum. Voters on the Emerald Isle ratified the Lisbon Treaty with 67.1 percent voting “Yes.”

On Saturday, Presidential Adviser Paweł Wypych, told TVN24 that "if the Irish have decided [to ratify], and such will be the official results of the referendum, the president will sign this treaty without undue delay." (RG)
