In the coming few days a representative of the US administration is to travel to Warsaw and Prague to present a new offer related to the new missile shield. Most probably the person who will pay the visit will be US Vice President Joe Biden.

The first aim of the trip will be to clean up the bad impression after Barack Obama decided to pull out from the construction of the anti-missile shield which was negotiated by President Bush. "The visit by Obama's representative is to show that there is no possibility of improving relations with Russia at a cost of selling the interest of Central Europe," said a source of Gazeta Wyborcza.

Secondly, the representative will present concrete proposals in relation to the newly planned defense system. According to the media the US administration will propose Poland the creation of logistics bases. "As for the time being the US propositions are going in the right direction," said a senior ranking Polish diplomat.
