Obama called Tusk but the two did not talk, says source
According to Gazeta Wyborcza, late on Wednesday night, US President Barack Obama made a call to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. However, the two leaders did not talk, the daily reports.
“There was a call from the White House, but there was no conversation between Obama and Tusk,” a source for the Prime Minister's Chancellery told Gazeta Wyborcza.
The source was unable to state with certainty why no conversation took place. “There was no conversation. Let's say that for technical reasons. [I have] nothing more to say,” the source said.
President Obama also called Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer to confirm that the missile-shield plans have been put on hold. (RG)
