Questions hang over death of Pole in Afghanistan
The Defense Ministry is demanding explanations from military authorities regarding the recent death of a Polish soldier in Afghanistan by the Taliban forces. Ministry officials want to find out why support from the air force came so late.
During a press conference yesterday Defense Minister Bogdan Klich told journalists that Prime Minister Donald Tusk has received a detailed report on the battle. Four Polish soldiers were wounded and one was killed when the Taliban attacked a Polish-Afghani military patrol.
