A group of former Presidents and Prime Ministers from the former communist block have written a letter to US President Barack Obama in which they warn that the close ally relationship of the region with USA is currently going through its hardest time ever.

"When the new administration is setting its foreign policy priorities, our region is one of those which the US is not worried about. [...] A lot of people think that the pro-Atlantic approach of the region its stability and well-being will last forever. This is too early to state," reads the letter.

This very harsh announcement was signed by the former Presidents of Poland, the Czech Republic, as well as of Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Latvia. Later today the letter will be presented in Washington during a conference.
