Treasury Ministry requests inspector for TVP
Treasury Minister Aleksander Grad has filed a request for an inspector to look into the current situation at national broadcaster TVP, just a few days after acting head Piotr Farfał was dismissed.
“This morning I turned to the appropriate court to appoint an inspector for TVP,” Grad told a press conference on Wednesday.
The Minister said that a Revenue Audit Office report has shown a number of irregularities at the broadcaster. According to the report, which the minister described as “devastating,” TVP received money through illegal methods, and the station must return several million złoty to the Treasury.
“The idea is to inform the public on how its license-fee money is being spent,” Grad said.
