Poland's electric drive

Despite the fact that the infrastructure for electric cars – such as charging spots – are sparse in Poland, a car company in the Warsaw suburb of Pruszków is moving towards commercial production of battery-powered vehicles.

Impact Automotive's two-passenger car, called the Sam, can cover a distance of 100 km on a ten-minute full charge. Such a 'fill-up' would cost zł.3.

The company hopes that plans to have as many as 90 charging booths in Warsaw will boost sales of the car.
