Zbigniew Ziobro who won a seat in the European Parliament and who publicly demanded an audit to be carried out on PiS' election campaign, has been strongly criticized by the leader of the Law and Justice (PiS) Jarosław Kaczyński.

However, the former justice minister's remarks has sparked an internal war in the party. According to anonymous PiS politicians, one of the deputies responsible for the campaign, Adam Bielan, demanded that Ziobro be expelled from the party.

However, Ziobro was supported by numerous PiS politicians and party leaders fear that if Ziobro is dismissed, other deputies will quit the party in support of him. "I do not want to fight anyone, PiS does not need conflicts. PiS needs unity," said the other PiS spin doctor criticized by Ziobro, Michał Kamiński.
