Insulin producer Bioton has presented its development strategy for the next few years, the main element of which is sales of drugs through large pharmaceutical concerns. According to documents revealed by Parkiet, the company's EBITDA will come in at zł.53 million this year.

Bioton is expecting to see zł.130 million from the sale of its shares in Russian Bioton Wostok. Meanwhile, Bioton is expected to invest some zł.20 million as a first installment in an Indian production plant. Company president Janusz Guy said Bioton will be debt free in 2010, but was less precise about when the firm would post a net profit.

"We are not yet able to responsibly declare when the company will return a net profit. Too many factors influence this," Guy added.
