$700,000 requested for Stańczak's body
The Taliban is requesting $700,000 (zł.2.39 million) for the body of Piotr Stańczak, the Polish geologist who was kidnapped and murdered in Afghanistan earlier this year, according to Dziennik.
The Ministry of Foreign affairs has declined to comment on the news.
“Due to the nature of the matter, I cannot answer your question,” Piotr Paszkowski, spokesperson for the ministry, told the daily. (RG)
