A number of recognized domestic artists, including Andrzej Wajda, Agnieszka Holland, Kazimierz Kutz and Krzysztof Krauze, have appealed to the ruling politicians for the immediate dismissal of Piotr Farfa³ from the post of public television TVP's CEO.
"Mr. Prime Minister, are you not ashamed that TVP is headed by an anti-Semite?" they wrote in an open letter. Film director Krzysztof Krauze went a step further and called for a boycott of TVP on May 3.
"Television has been seized by former Neonazis and All-Polish Youth members. Today its social mission is being carried out by people we would not take into out homes. But they are in your houses," declared Krauze.
Both Farfa³ and TVP's press office declined to comment on this appeal. (AK)
