A number of recognized domestic artists, including Andrzej Wajda, Agnieszka Holland, Kazimierz Kutz and Krzysztof Krauze, have appealed to the ruling politicians for the immediate dismissal of Piotr Farfał from the post of public television TVP's CEO.

"Mr. Prime Minister, are you not ashamed that TVP is headed by an anti-Semite?" they wrote in an open letter. Film director Krzysztof Krauze went a step further and called for a boycott of TVP on May 3.

"Television has been seized by former Neonazis and All-Polish Youth members. Today its social mission is being carried out by people we would not take into out homes. But they are in your houses," declared Krauze.

Both Farfał and TVP's press office declined to comment on this appeal. (AK)
