According to preliminary Finance Ministry estimates, the current budget deficit amounts to zł.10.1 billion. This is zł.2.2 billion below the assumed budget deficit level that was published last week as part of the governmental budget schedule. "The source of the decrease of the deficit is also positive.

The revenues of the state were zł.900 million higher and this is very positive news. Meanwhile expenses were lower by zł.1.3 billion. The lower expenses does not mean that they will not be carried out.

They will be transferred to the following months. But the fact that the revenues are higher than we forecast is very significant," said Deputy Finance Minister Elżbieta Suchocka-Roguska in an interview for TVN CNBC Biznes. (AK)
