According to Dziennik, there will be a meeting between President Lech Kaczyński and US President Barack Obama. This will take place not during the NATO summit, but during the EU-USA joint session in Prague.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk was to go to the Czech Republic on his own, but once it was announced that only during the stay in Prague Barack Obama will find time to meet European heads of states, the Polish President changed his plans.
"I am surprised. Everything has been arranged. I wonder what happened that the President changed his plans," said Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski. The meeting with the US President will be short, as he is planning to meet representatives of all EU states during the summit.
The new and complicated plans of the Polish President surprised the PM and his colleagues, as it might turn out that Obama will not meet Tusk. Czech authorities are also very surprised and stress they have not been notified officially about the plans of President Kaczyński.
