Bioton has posted a net profit for the last quarter of the year. The company cited lower costs and the depreciation of the Polish currency as catalysts for its profit, which amounted to zł.700,000.

Favorable exchange rates in the last three months of 2008 helped Bioton earn zł.26 million, the company said on Tuesday.

The company had a zł.57 million loss in Q4 2007. (RG)
