Due to the crisis, the only investors left are over there, says Sports Minister

A delegation composed of representatives of the Sports Ministry and PL 2012, the company which is responsible for organizing the European Football Championships in 2012, is flying to the Arabian Peninsula later today in search of new investors.

"In such an undertaking money plays the biggest role, and in order to get it we need investors. Due to the crisis, the only investors left are over there," said Sports Minister Mirosław Drzewiecki.

The delegation will meet with potential investors in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Meanwhile the Sports Minister has come up with another idea to raise funds: naming the National Stadium in Warsaw after a brand.

This would generate an estimated zł.20 million annually. According to the Minister the company selected to have its brand as part ofthe name of the stadium should be associated with Poland.
