More than one tenth of Poles are out of work
Unemployment in Poland has reached 10.5 percent
The unemployment rate in Poland has reached 10.5 percent, according to data by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
The number of unemployed now amounts to 1.634 million, a report drafted by the ministry read. The voivodships where the most people are out of a job are Lubuskie, Wielkopolska and Opolskie, with 16.5 percent, 14.7 percent and 13.9 percent respectively
The report also said that the sectors which have seen the most layoffs are the industrial sector – the cement, rubber and electronics sectors – tourism, finance, the automotive industry and transport.
