Throughout the month of February, the Kino.Lab cinema at the Centre for Contemporary Art in Ujazdowski Castle will host a series of 10 films considered the best of those which came out in Poland in 2008. The films were hand-picked by the editors of Warsaw-based Film magazine and were made by directors from all over the world. The arthouse cinema is showing a mix of European, American and Asian greats, kicking off with Paul Thomas Anderson’s “There Will Be Blood” and following with the Coen Brothers’ “No Country For Old Men,” Carlos Reygadas’ “Silent Light,” Julian Schnabel’s “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” and Ang Lee’s “Lust, Caution.”
This month, Kino.Lab is also hosting a Jacques Tati retrospective and a French Short Film Festival.
