UniCredit to ask for aid?
According to Reuters, Italian UniCredit, owner of Pekao, might ask the governments of Italy, Austria and Poland for financial aid as it is unable to raise financing from the market
“We are considering asking for state support as security against unforeseeable occurrences,” said Alessandro Profumo, president of Italy’s UniCredit. However, Deputy Finance Minister Katarzyna Zajdel-Kurowska said that no one had brought such a request to the Finance Ministry so far.
