Government to further tax salaries
Health Ministry to get a zł.6 billion boost next year
In 2010 the government will demand a little more of Polish salaries, Gazeta Prawna has discovered. This is part of a plan to increase health contributions.
The government intends to increase the National Health Fund (NFZ) contribution paid by full-time employees from nine to 10 percent next year, the daily reported. Because of these new regulations, the Health Ministry should receive an extra zł.6 billion annually.
The daily reported that an individual earning an average of zł.3,200 will pay around zł.300 a year. A draft version of the plan is expected to be completed in H1. (RG)
