Gas could flow from Turkey into EU countries, including Poland

PGNiG, Poland's gas monopoly, plans to join the Nabucco pipeline project, Hungary's government announced on Tuesday.

"Donald Tusk ensured the Hungarian prime minister that Poland backs the project and indicated that PGNiG, the country's biggest gas producer and importer, plans to join the Nabucco project," read a statement issued by Hungarian authorities.

The Nabucco plan calls for a pipeline carrying gas between Turkey and Austria to be built. (RG)
