Forticom buys majority stake in nasza-klasa.pl

It was revealed that a 70% stake in social networking portal nasza-klasa.pl was quietly sold to Estonian fund Forticom for zł.200 million


Without any previous notice, it was revealed that a 70% stake in social networking portal nasza-klasa.pl was quietly sold to Estonian fund Forticom for zł.200 million. According to daily Rzeczpospolita, the transaction was carried out on January 10 when Forticom purchased 62% of shares.

"Communiques of the firm should be clearer. There is an impression that nasza-klasa.pl is ashamed of its investor," said Magda Borowik, analyst with IDC Polska.

The new owner of the portal has two owners and the first of them is Digital Sky Technologies, headed by Russian Internet investor Yuri Milner. The second shareholder is Tiger Global fund, which also has shares in job portal Pracuj.pl in Poland.

Nasza-klasa.pl is the most popular theme website in Poland with 7.5 million regular users.
