Indian IT giant Wipro will design and operate Credit Suisse's HR center in Wroc³aw

Financing group Credit Suisse has chosen Bangalore-based Wipro Technologies to help transform its overall human resources structure. IT services firm Wipro will design and operate a new HR center in Wroc³aw to handle the HR needs of Credit Suisse's 20,000 staff in Switzerland. Financial details of the deal were not revealed.

"I am happy. Three great brands are meeting: Wipro, Credit Suisse and Wroc³aw. An investment by such innovative companies in such a dynamic city with academic potential is destined for success," Wroc³aw Mayor Rafa³ Dutkiewicz told Puls Biznesu. Meanwhile Harald Stoehr, managing director and HR manager of Credit Suisse, stressed that the quality and availability of staff made Wroc³aw an exceptional location.

The city produces more university graduates each year than any other Polish city.

"We believe that Poland is an excellent location for Wipro's new global center, due to its extremely talented workforce and economic advantages," Ramit Sethi, a senior vice president at Wipro BPO, said in a statement.

Credit Suisse and Wipro are planning set up a similar new venture in India, to cater the HR needs of the firm's staff working outside of Switzerland. This new facility will join one which the two firms already operate in Pune, India.
