At least four Ministers face dismissal in Cabinet re-shuffle
A leading Civic Platform (PO) politician yesterday revealed that in August half of the Cabinet will be sacked.
Although this announcement is exaggerated, Prime Minister Donald Tusk is in fact planning a cabinet re-shuffle. Most of the candidates for dismissal are professionals not connected with any party. Science Minister Barbara Kudrycka, is tipped to go as she came into conflict with representatives of academia. She is also accused of lobbying in favor of private academies. Infrastructure Minister Cezary Grabarczyk is likely to be sacked as a scapegoat for serious delays in road construction, and Education Minister Katarzyna Hall who fails to consult her ideas with the party and has caused an unnecessary conflict over reading lists in schools is also likely to be on the hit list. Meanwhile Defense Minister Bogdan Klich is criticized for his activeness in the media and lack of supervision of the army. (Dziennik, pp. 1, 5) A.K.
