The Agora media concern confirmed yesterday that it was going to introduce a new daily newspaper on the market in autumn this year.

Representatives of the company's board declared that the new daily will not be a tabloid but a "newspaper of the center." They also assured that the title will not compete for readers with already existing newspapers. Agora's president Wanda Rapaczyñska declared that the new daily was an original project by the firm and would not be modeled on any existing foreign or domestic paper. The chief editor of the new daily will be Jerzy Wójcik, the former chief editor of free daily Metro. Agora announced that the launch of the new daily would substantially influence the company's financial results in Q4 this year, which means that the company's net result will probably be lower by more than 10%. Analysts estimate the cost of the launch of the new daily at around zl.70 million. (Parkiet, p. 6) E.B.
