From May 1 all companies will have to pay more for petrol in real terms.

The Finance Minister has passed a decree which means that VAT on petrol will not be refunded. (Puls Biznesu, p. 8.) ... Wizz Air, a new budget carrier, will start flying from Katowice to London, Berlin and Rome from May 19. The airline hopes to get off with a good start and has offered the first 25,000 ticket at knock-down prices from zł.49 (one way). Later tickets to London will vary between zł.159-799. (Puls Biznesu, p.13) ... Brok-Strzelec is facing bankruptcy. Bank PKO SA is sending in the bailiff to collect its zł.15 million debt from the brewer, and has declared it will not reverse from this course action. This has proved tragic for the company as Cornerstone Partner, which had showed an interest in engaging in the brewer has declared it is no longer interested in the company.
