A TVN investigative reporter has been found of having a criminal background, and of having spent several years in prison, reports Rzeczpospolita.

Jacek Bazan, who was on the trail of financial scandals and corruption, had been sentenced for deserting his military unit and later for forgery, selling other people's cars, robbery, threatening people, and embezzling zł.21,000. "You've been found guilty several times and now you're working as an investigating reporter. Can't you see a contradiction here?" asked "Rzeczpospolita". "Quite the contrary, it helps a lot," replied Bazan. (Rzeczpospolita, p. A1) M.K.
